Help desk Analyst required to provide 1st line IT helpdesk support and administration, and to ensure the efficient service management of the IT infrastructure and systems.

Help desk Analyst must provide evidence of working in a technical role within a comparable organisation with the following technical knowledge:-

  • Understanding of service desk and incident management methodology and operation
  • Logging of IT Service desk service requests and incidents
  • Administration and management of service requests
  • Installation/build of desktop PCs
  • PBX directory/extension management
  • Windows 10, 7
  • Windows Server 2012, 2008
  • Detailed MS Excel knowledge
  • MS Office skills
  • PC support skills
  • Active Directory Skills and awareness
  • Basic SQL knowledge and use of SSMS
  • Knowledge of Voice/PBX systems/directory management - NEC
  • SysAid system administration
  • Understanding of switching and routing technology
  • MS Exchange
  • VMware
  • Wireless
  • 5 GCSE at Grade C or above including Maths and English or equivalent

The Help desk Analyst will be responsible for a variety of technical responsibilities including:-

  • Answering helpdesk/IT department telephone calls and queries
  • Call logging of helpdesk service requests
  • Service management and administration of service requests
  • Management and administration of the company’s service management platform (SysAid)
  • Desktop PC builds and decommissioning; installation of desktop software
  • Production of monthly service management statistics and MI
  • Moves, changes and setup of new users and equipment including Active Directory
