Heart of House THTH60630

Posted 23 February by Blue Octopus Ended

Are you passionate and energetic? Do you thrive on opportunities to be creative and want to be part of an innovative, pioneering team?

The Limelight development on Shrewsbury Street is a £20 million investment into the Old Trafford area. Limelight opened in October 2017, and the community space features a cafe, pharmacy, health and wellbeing facilities, library, event spaces, nursery, opticians, hairdressers and more. Included in this building are 81 extra care residential apartments, providing older and more vulnerable people with high quality homes for them to live in independently.

And it’s working; the space is busy. They have visitors and residents in the café, accessing health and wellbeing services, reading in the library, dropping in for a cut and colour; and they need someone who acts as the 'Heart of House’, working within an already established, welcoming team.

This is not a standard receptionist role. You will be the at the heart of the space, heart of the building, truly the 'Heart of House’.

You will be dynamic, energetic and organised, with a welcoming approach and the ability to connect with others.

You will have the desire to be creative, partake in and encourage innovative activities such as dementia friendly ping-pong, family art classes and their 'open mic’ nights - they’re not just about coffee mornings and bingo!

You will be able to deal with a range of enquiries; sometimes complex, to ensure all visitors receive a professional service and are signposted appropriately.

You will be passionate about the space; assisting with booking enquiries and supporting private hires such as weddings, drama workshops and even an animal farm. (watch out for Owls in April!)

You will welcome the challenges that come from working within a diverse customer demographic, and passionate about making a difference to the local community.

It’s going to be demanding, it’s going to be busy, however it’s never going to be dull and you will be part of a fantastic team of people committed to delivering a 'one-building’ approach.

If this excites you, and you feel like you can do this, get in touch and apply. Closing date for applications will be 26th March, and interviews week commencing 2nd April.

They’re looking forward to meeting you.
