An exciting opportunity has arisen for HCSW’s to be trained to support the mass vaccination Programme in Cwm Taf Morgannwg for COVID-19 vaccine delivery

This post is an 18 month fixed term contract. The post holder will work as a member of the Immunisation and Vaccination team under the direction and supervision of the Immunisation Co-ordinator and Immunisation Nurse Facilitators

Supported by registered nurses, the post holder will administer vaccinations to patient and staff groups.

The post holder will contribute to the Immunisation agenda as assessed and prescribed by the Independent prescriber/Registered Nurse. This will include working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency arena alongside the Primary care team, Occupational Health, and Public Health Wales.

The post holder will hold Level 3 NVQ/QSF in a health care associated certificate or possess skills, knowledge and experience to equivalent level, and be prepared to commit to begin this qualification within 3 months of commencing in the role.

Ideally you should have experience of working within the community environment and you must have experience of working IT packages including internet and emails.

You should be fully committed to your own professional development and ready to undertake specific development required of the role. You must be able to meet the geographical needs of the role and must be a car owner/driver and be willing to travel to venues

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
