A leading law firm is looking for a Clinical Negligence lawyer in Cambridge

This leading international insurance law firm is seeking a Clinical Negligence Lawyer to join its Healthcare practice in Cambridge. The firm prides itself on providing highly responsive solution driven expertise to leading global and national insurers, the London Market, insurance related intermediary organisations and also counts numerous 'household names' self-insured organisations amongst its clients.
Your new role
As part of this defendant only practice you will advise the NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts and medical malpractice insurers of private hospitals, clinics and practitioners on clinical negligence claims. You will also advise on medical insurance coverage, health law advice, and regulatory matters and represent clients at inquests and judicial reviews. The types of claims you will advise on will range from values of £20,000 up to £40,000,000 both pre-litigation and in litigation covering the full range of clinical negligence issues including, surgical, obstetric, orthopaedic and psychiatric.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need strong academics (2.1 or higher degree) or equivalent. The firm are seeking a UK Qualified Solicitor with 2-3 years post qualification defendant clinical negligence experience. High calibre post qualification experience is essential, as is the ability to run your own caseload under supervision and assist seniors with large scale casework in a team environment. Strong technical ability, previous client contact and attendance at business development events is desirable.
You will need to be able to give and take instruction, apply a forensic approach, and deliver commercially pragmatic solutions. You will need to be proactive and take initiative, with strong communication skills both verbal and written, be able to manage your own time, demonstrate excellent organisation skills and strong technical and research skills.
