About the role

The Peterborough Branch of Interserve Healthcare currently has an excellent opportunity available for Care Assistants to work with our client on the outskirts of Peterborough. We are currently looking for a carer to work as part of an established team with a lady who has an ABI and Spinal Injury.

In this role, you will be required to provide assistance with Personal Care, assist with Medication and help to manage Catheter care. The client also requires support to ensure she is able to go food shopping, prepare meals, gardening and book appointments.

The client does have a small assistance dog

The client has extreme sensitivity to light and sound, due to this, you must ensure that you have strong communication skills

Shifts can vary but regular pattern is 07:00 - 14:00 and 17:00 - 22:00 daily.

Following skills & experience required:

• 6 months previous care experience (Including Personal Care)
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and listening
• Have a caring and compassionate attitude
• Can commit to regular hours

The following is beneficial but not essential:

• Medication management
