About the role
Interserve Healthcare is a leading care provider who puts care at the heart of everything we do. We support a range of clients varying in age and care requirements which can include mental health, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and clients with more complex clinical needs.
As a Healthcare Assistant, your duties will vary dependent on each client’s needs and individual care plans. These may include personal care, assistance with moving and handling, support with community outings and medication administration.
Full driving licence would be preferred but not essential.
We are currently hiring for day shifts in and around the Luton, Bedford and Milton Keynes area for clients with complex clinical needs. These shifts will vary depending on the client and area in question.
Training will be individualised for each client and the majority of this training will be undertaken by local hospitals that are supporting these children.
Following skills & experience required:
• 6 months previous care experience
• Experience of working with clients with complex care needs (advantageous)
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and listening
• Have a caring and compassionate attitude
• Can commit to regular hours
Experience preferable but client specific training available:
• Tracheostomy care
• Gastrostomy care
• Ventilation care
• Medication management
• Catheter care
• Manual handling
