We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join our team , The Oncology Outpatients Department is developing and growing and we see on average 200 patients per day.
Oncology patients attend the department for consultations with the doctors. They also receive supportive therapies, sub-cut/im injections. We help patients organise their appointments and their journey through oncology. We also manage the running of the clinics and clinic prep.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and committed Healthcare Assistant and will welcome any forward thinking, caring individual who is committed to providing a high standard of safe quality patient care. You must be able to work flexibly between the hours of 8.30am - 7.30pm.
There will be opportunity develop new skills in Venepuncture, Cannulation and ECG's, supported by the Oncology Clinical Educator.

These roles are essential to the experience of our patients and their relatives and carers and they complement the clinical care provided by our doctors, nurses, midwives and therapists.
You must display excellent communication skills and be confident to deal with members of the public and the hospital multidisciplinary team.
As part of the interview process, if you are successful at shortlisting, you will be expected to complete the Numeracy and Literacy Assessment.
