Full time hours - 37.5 hour week to cover office open hours of 8am - 7pm

Overview:

We are currently seeking a Booking Coordinator to join our Administration Hub, providing support for a National Diabetes Prevention Service. This lifestyle intervention is delivered by a team of Health and Wellbeing Coaches and Advisors and focuses on helping service users to reduce their risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes.

This role will provide administration support to our regional teams via the management of service user referrals though data implementation and telephone / email communication.

This role would suit someone who has similar experience working within a public health/promotion environment and who is accustomed to handling medical information in a sensitive and accurate manner.

Job Scope:

Responsible for undertaking all administration duties required to ensure NDPP service users can progress from referral onto a programme. This includes:

  • Taking inbound phone calls from patients from your dedicated NDPP contract areas.
  • Monitor email inboxes relating to your dedicated NDPP contract areas.
  • Making outbound phone calls to patients to book them into 1-1 appointments and onto group programmes.
  • Sending letters to patients to confirm appointments and bookings.
  • Scheduling bookings made into the patient management system.
  • Provide feedback letters at key stages to the referrers.

About you:

To become part of the Administration Hub you must have high level data entry skills that include attention to accuracy whilst maintaining speed, ideally having worked in a similar environment. An excellent telephone manner and confidence in handling people with sensitivity and understanding is a key attribute, as is strong organisation qualities with attention to detail.

On a daily basis you will be required to use Excel, Word and Mail Merge functionality. You will be required to demonstrate that you have a strong understanding of these programmes and have confidence when using them.

Background within a health environment would be great, as would be strong IT skills given the technical aspects of the contract.
