We are looking for enthusiastic Health Visitors to work in the Healthy Child Programme across Norfolk. You will be self-motivated, able to demonstrate empathy and enjoy working in a fast paced, friendly environment. It is important that you have strong communication and leadership skills and be able to demonstrate experience of partnership working with proven ability to innovate and find solutions in delivering a safe and effective service. You will have excellent verbal, written and computer skills and demonstrate a commitment to your own personal and professional development as well as supporting the development of others in the team.
The successful post holders will participate in the locality duty role, in addition to supporting individual families as part of a skill mix team. The post holder will also be flexible to rotate into the Single Point of Access as required.
Within Norfolk we have a number of service design projects involving the workforce, service users and stakeholders to continue to develop our 0-19 services. This has included the development of service delivery options using a digital platform. This includes our Just One Norfolk website, text messaging services for parents and young people and use of the Attend Anywhere platform for delivering video consultations with some families. You should be committed to helping with the continued development of the service, be competent with IT and able to support new digital technologies.
Norfolk covers a large geographical area so you need to be able to access all areas of the Trust. The hours of work out in the localities are 9am – 5 pm Monday – Friday.

Successful applicants to posts at band 6 or above for which a DBS check is required, will be asked to pay for this as a condition of their job offer (£44.00 for an Enhanced Check or £27.00 for a Standard Check). This payment will be deducted from their first month’s salary unless a longer pay back period is agreed with the appointing manager.
This will not apply to successful applicants who are registered with the DBS Update Service and is in possession of the disclosure certificate, for whom an online status check will be undertaken.
