East Renfrewshire HSCP has an exciting opportunity to offer a 0.6wte Health Visiting posts to an enthusiastic candidate. You will contribute to the enhanced provision of the Healthy Child Programme in line with the principles of getting it Right for Every Child. Key objectives are to promote health and well being, reduce inequalities and contribute to an integrated approach to securing optimal outcomes for children and families. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is committed to providing children with the best possible start in life in line with the key ambition and aims of the Early Years Collaborative set out by the Scottish Government through dynamic and dedicated skill mixed Children and Families teams working together. You will work as part of a skill mixed Children and Families team alongside Staff Nurses; Nursery Nurses; Healthcare Support workers and will report to a Children and Families Team Leader. You will be accountable for a caseload, will provide public health expertise, and will be a key member of the Children and Families Team and other multi-professional/disciplinary groups. It is essential that you are a Registered Nurse with the NMC and with a post-registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing and evidence of continued professional development. Excellent communication and organisational skills along with the ability to work as part of a team are essential as is the ability to work using your own initiative without direct supervision. You will be able to demonstrate the required skills and qualifications in addition to a desire to make a positive difference through practice contribution. A working knowledge of IT systems is also desirable. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG Scheme.
