Health & Social Care Assessor

As a Vocational Assessors you will be working as part of a larger successful team. Whereby you will be required to work independently visiting learners at a variety of sites and will be responsible for delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment.

The goal is to ensure learners gain new knowledge and skills and ultimately are successful in obtaining their apprenticeship framework.

It is essential that you have excellent vocational experience in the sector for which you are assessing and hold the appropriate level of qualification to meet Awarding Organisation requirements.

Full induction and training package to new staff is provided so you very quickly feel part of the team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
*Guide and support learners and their employers in the effective pursuit of their individual learning programme and progression planning.
*Support transition activities for learners moving to higher level Apprenticeships or on to Further Education.
*Maintain regular contact with learners and deliver high quality learning and development.
*Ensure all learner records and reporting are kept up to date and provided in a timely manner to support management reporting and audit requirements.
*Attend regular team meetings and Moderation/validation workshops.
*Undertake regular progress reviews and offer guidance to learners on how to improve performance.
*Liaise with our Functional Skills Tutors to support framework achievement and the embedding of Functional Skills within your contextual delivery.
*Ensure timely achievements are met, including retention and achievement targets by implementing strategies and supporting learners in self-esteem and confidence-building activities.

*Good level of IT Skills
*Full driving licence
*Qualified in English and Maths at level 2
*Level 5 or above in management or leadership or: 1 year recent and relevant experience of working within vocational specialist area working at management/leadership level
*D32/D33 or A1 Award or TAQA
*Teaching qualification

Salary and Benefits:
*Starting salary of £23,000 - £25,000 per annum
*28 days holiday including Bank holidays
*Milage cover
