Our client is a global manufacturing company and a market leader that supplies specialist products to environmental, aerospace and marine markets. Their growth forecast for the future is very impressive and to compliment this TRF Technical is recruiting for a Quality Assurance and HSE Officer on their behalf.

Reporting to the QHSE Manager the Health & Safety Officer will co-ordinate, support and advise the Business on all aspects of Health & Safety. They will establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems and assist with Environmental and general compliance within the Business

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear standards, measures and governance onHS&E

  • Conduct Tool box talks

  • Assist with general compliance within thebusiness

  • Set site targets, goals and strategy for site HS&E compliance and continuousimprovement

  • Ensure all risk assessments are undertaken in relation to COSHH, PUWER, LOLA and fire including annualchecks and ensure the upkeep of risk assessments and methodstatements

  • To investigate, record and follow up all incidents as part of a monthly KPIreport

  • Ensure all H&S procedures and policies are up to date and in line with current legislation and implemented throughout the business

  • To plan and conduct monthly H&S committeemeetings

  • Deal with all environmental procedures andpolicies

  • Liaise with HR Manager for all training records relating toH&S

  • Responsible for all HS&E related training courses across the business including Fire safety, risk assessment, COSHH and FirstAid

To be considered for this opportunity the successful candidates should have;

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similarrole

  • NEBOSHqualified

  • Thorough understanding of ISO14001 requirements and measures required toimplement

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within thecompany

  • Effective planning, organisational and prioritisationskills

  • Experience of maintaining ISO9001standards

  • Audit experience
