Newstaff Employment Services Ltd are recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Officer

Based in the Luton area
- Act as Health & Safety Officer for all directly delivered and outsourced works, reviewing health and safety policies in line with the business needs of the services, advising and assisting them in the development of practical risk assessments.
- Advise on relevant provisions of health & safety legislation, in accordance with guidelines, codes of practice, advice notes and Council policy.
- Offer advice, training and guidance to staff, tenants, leaseholders and contractors as required on all relevant aspects of health & safety.
To advise all managers, employees, subcontractors and other delivery partners on their statutory obligations in respect of health & safety and to provide guidance on good practice.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
The post holder will provide the Health & Safety expertise needed to ensure that all works are delivered safely. The post holder will provide expert health & safety advice and analysis to the Senior Management Team and will produce information on performance and trends to ensure that the business is compliant with all relevant legislation.
Contribute to the overall management and the achievement of ALL health & safety and operational objectives.
The desired candidate must have experience of working withn the property maintenance or construction industry.
The right candidate will have the desired experience, and be a highly motivated individual to promote positive health and safety consultation between staff, subcontractors, other service providers and the employer using forums, team meetings, etc. To be aware of and exercise personal responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and CDM 2015
