About the role
As the HSES Project Partner, you will directly liaise with the delivery and/or project director across an entire delivery unit, leading and developing an integrated approach to the implementation of a health, safety and environmental programme. Ensuring compliance with legal governance and relevant national and international standards is paramount as you will be responsible for providing guidance, support, advice and compliance monitoring on all Safety & Sustainability issues.
You will need excellent communication skills in order to deliver reports to the various Safety & Sustainability Specialists, project teams and the business, to ensure compliance with the Balfour Beatty Rail integrated business management System, legislation, railway group and Network Rail standards and Balfour Beatty Safety & Sustainability group requirements and BSI requirements.
You will be a chartered member of IOSH, or working towards NEBOSH Certificate (or working towards NEBOSH Diploma)
Educated to Degree/HNC level or demonstrable ability to interpret complex data/information, produce detailed reports for Senior Leadership audience, interpret legislation
Good influencing and persuasion skills
Good attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
Be able to demonstrate an assertive, constructive approach with the drive, energy and passion for Safety & Sustainability
A strong partnership ethos In depth knowledge of legislation relating to health, safety, environment and sustainability
