NHBC has an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Contractor to join the team based in the Kent and Sussex area.
An opportunity has arisen for an additional Health & Safety Contractor to join our Approved Contractors Register to assist the Health & Safety team in the above areas. Within your area/region, your duties will include undertaking H&S site inspections and associated site based activities (including reviewing of Safety Registers, RAMs, CPP etc.) - using NHBC internal templates.
The Health & Safety Contractor Role
In order to be eligible for the role as one of our Health & Safety Contractors you will have experience in the delivery of H&S Services and, ideally, will have a background in the construction/building industry. You must hold Tech IOSH status as a minimum. It is essential that you are organised and methodical with an ability to contribute to the delivery of high quality and effective Health & Safety advice to a nationally consistent standard. As a Health & Safety Contractor you must also have a high degree of interpersonal skills and provide own transport and IT equipment (mobile phone, laptop and portable printer).
Fees will be negotiable as a site inspection fixed rate and contractors will be required to invoice monthly for work completed via a Limited company. This is not a full time role and number and frequency of Site Inspections cannot be guaranteed.
