Working as part of the finance team at this manufacturing company, you will be offering support and cover during sickness, holiday and peak times as directed by the Finance Manager. The main responsibilities and function of this role will, however be ensuring that all elements of Health and Safety are adhered to - guaranteeing quality in service and delivery for customers whilst maintaining an excellent working environment.
You will have overall responsibility for the company Health & Safety, Environment policies and compliance. This will include putting processes in place to ensure the company remains compliant with the most current legislation. You will also conduct site inspections, complete risk assessments and manage corrective actions to ensure that the building is safe and hazard free. Also, you will implement new processes and procedures, supporting colleagues as required. The role will also include organising training regarding First Aid, manual handling and other Health & Safety matters as required.
Accounts and administration will also be key to this role - you will input supplier invoices and provide backup for other accounts functions, plan and arrange office functions, open and distribute post and make travel arrangements as required. Other duties will include managing site contracts eg. insurance and telephones and maintaining and ordering office and kitchen supplies.
Hours of work will be Monday - Friday 10.00 - 15.00 (although this may be negotiable)
