Health Care Support Workers

Posted 21 March by Cygnet Health Care Featured Ended
Could you be a support worker for Cygnet? If you’re caring, compassionate and want to make a positive impact on the lives of others then this could be the job for you with a salary up to £23,000 dependent on experience.

You’ll be working at our Cygnet hospital in Stevenage, where our 86 beds across 6 wards offer male and female inpatients a comprehensive range of therapies and treatments, from diagnosis and assessment in critical care.

As an active member of our dynamic team, you’ll provide support for our nursing staff including the admission, assessment, implementation and discharge of inpatients, with a focus on dignity and safety at all times.

We’re looking for diligent and dedicated people with a sound level of literacy and numeracy skills. Whilst an NVQ level 1 or 2 in a relevant care setting is preferable, it isn’t a necessity. You’ll have a strong, flexible mental aptitude and an ability to cope with the physical demands of the role.

We’ll give you the training you need to start helping people straight away. Yes, it can be a challenge working with people who have mental health problems. But you can make a real difference on their road to recovery. It’s hugely rewarding.

This could be the income you need for doing something you love. We offer a competitive salary and a range of benefits including free life insurance, subsidised meals, a health cash plan and one of the best pension schemes around. Cygnet is a big, growing organisation and your talent could take you a long way.

Try something new and positive that’s not your typical 9-5 but offers great rewards in return. A brighter career and a brighter future for everyone.
