Health Care Support Worker

Diligent and dedicated, you’ll play an important role in the daily routine of our service users. You’ll assist our nursing team by carrying out key duties.

Exciting new opportunities are opening up here at Cygnet Hospital Coventry. With a brand new 56-bed facility being built on the site of the Old St Mary’s hospital, we’re also building our clinical team from the ground up. In partnership with Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, we’ll be offering specialist inpatient services for women across three wards, with step down facilities also forming part of the care pathway.

Working as an active member of our dynamic MDT, you’ll provide support for our nursing staff including the admission, assessment, implementation and discharge of inpatients, with a focus on dignity and safety at all times.
You’ll bring with you a sound level of literacy and numeracy skills and preferably an NVQ Level 3in a relevant care setting. With some experience working in a secure a psychiatry service you’ll have a good level of physical fitness and a strong, flexible mental aptitude in order to meet the demands of the role. Demonstrating the abilities, experience and skills needed to deal effectively with challenging situations,
you have an active interest in developing your knowledge and skills.
