We have an opportunities for caring and compassionate health care assistants to join our team at Atherleigh Park.

North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides treatment, support and guidance for a wide range of mental health for both Adult and Later Life Memory Services.

There are currently opportunities on all wards at Atherleigh Park.

The role of a Health Care Assistant is vital to ensure we deliver safe, high quality care to our service users.

As a must have you will be:

  • Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake literacy and numeracy Level 1 qualification.
  • Flexible approach to working.
  • Ability to work well in a team .
  • Be able to use your own initiative and work independently, under the supervision of a Able to work under instruction and within guidelines.

Whilst experience of working with people who are experiencing mental health problems is not essential, it would be desirable. Previous experience of using computers would be helpful, but training will be supplied.

We are keen to receive applications from experienced health care assistants, but most importantly we are looking for considerate, supportive individuals who listen and care.

This post is subject to an enhanced check with adults barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
