Here at Woking, our mixed adult secure unit accepts admissions from all over the UK with a view to discharging service users back to their local area as soon as they are ready. We provide support every step of the way, supported by a dedicated, multidisciplinary team, including a unique education programme to ensure their studies are as uninterrupted as possible. The hospital provide a whole range of therapies and services on offer to treat service users with mental health issues and related problems such as self-harm, substance misuse, anger and behaviour management.
Working as an active member of our dynamic MDT, you’ll provide support for our nursing staff including the admission, assessment, implementation and discharge of inpatients, with a focus on dignity and safety at all times.
You’ll bring with you a sound level of literacy and numeracy skills and preferably an NVQ level 2/3 in a relevant care setting. With some experience working in a secure a psychiatry service you’ll have a good level of physical fitness and a strong, flexible mental aptitude in order to meet the demands of the role.
Demonstrating the abilities, experience and skills needed to deal effectively with challenging situations, you have an active interest in developing your knowledge and skills.
