Located in one of the most beautiful counties in the UK, North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Health care assistants to join our busy, friendly Operating Theatres. NCIC has 2 hospital sites in Carlisle & Whitehaven serving a population of around 320,000 people. While based at West Cumberland Hospital the successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain experience in working across both sites.
We provide theatre support to women’s health & breast, maternity, general surgery, maxfax and ENT, vascular and Orthopaedics. You will be expected to work as part of a team, with excellent communication skills, able to demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent standards of perioperative care and living the Trust values. We welcome applications from people who have interest in working in the operating theatres, as well those with experience in a health care setting.
We offer a 24/7/365 service to our patients and the successful applicant will have a flexible approach to working hours to ensure that we provide a consistent service to our patients across the services we support.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:
Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4.20 = deducted at £10.20 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 2 months.
Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.20 = £15.20 deducted from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
