Our client a manufacturing company who have recently expanded into Europe are keen to recruit a qualified Health and Safety Professional to join their established team.
The successful candidate will play an important role in overseeing the company's health and safety practices and procedures; as well as keeping the company up to date with current laws and legislation's.
Producing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
Ensuring working practices are safe and comply with current legislation.
Advise on a range of specialist areas e.g. fire regulations, safeguarding machinery etc.
Record incidents and accidents.
Keep the company informed and up to date with new legislation's.
Oversee in-house training with employees about existing and new health & safety risks and issues.
Produce reports for improvements on Health & safety in the work place and develop internal policies and procedures in an expert manner.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Minimum of 4 years experience working within the manufacturing, engineering or construction industry would be helpful but not essential.
A relevant health and safety qualification.
The ability to understand laws and regulations.
Competent IT and excellent written skills are essential.
Hours: 9 - 5
25 days holiday per annum
