Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced and talented Head/Senior Pastry Chef on behalf of our client a busy Cambridge College in the city centre. The College have recently restructured their team leaving a vacancy for a Pastry chef to lead all cooking, development and operation in this section of the kitchen fully focusing on classic and modern food trends reporting into the Head Chef and Director of Catering.
The ideal candidate will have 2 rosette pastry experience within a busy environment and a real passion for Pastry. You will also have experience of working within a high class establishment, covering pastry and dough work, hot and cold puddings, cakes, chocolate work, petits fours and new methods of cookery.
You will have the relevant city & guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ 1,2 (minimum) and basic food hygiene qualifications, be conscientious, have good communication skills, be able to work alone and in a team, and be able to relate well to others.

Salary of around £28,000 per annum depending on experience based on a 40 hour week working 5 days out of 7 depending on business. The College offers automatic enrolment into a pension scheme and 33 days annual holiday (including Public Holidays), together with meals on duty and uniform is provided.
