A Head Pastry Chef role is required to join the kitchen team at a fantastic hotel in Cambridgeshire
The Head Chef of this hotel is seeking a Head Pastry Chef to take control of the separate pastry kitchen at the property that is equipped with state of the art equipment and has a team of five chefs working in it. In this role of Head Pastry Chef you will be leading your team of pastry chefs from the front creating 'a la carte’ desserts to very high standards from the menus that focus on modern interpretations of classic British dishes. At the same time you will also be creating the desserts for the banqueting department and creating the afternoon teas. The capacity to fully manage the department to ensure that it runs smoothly and matches the standards from the hot kitchen is essential.
This role needs a strong Head Pastry Chef who has recently been working at 2/3 AA Rosette or Michelin level in a position where you were managing a busy pastry department and were leading a small team of chefs working under you. All round skills in the kitchen are essential with knowledge of restaurant desserts and banqueting as well as kitchen management knowledge.
