The team's main focus is Legal Indemnity and Warranty and Indemnity, though this role will focus very much on the W&I side. 60% of the clients are in the UK and 40% in wider-Europe and they include law firms, real estate funds, investors, private equity funds and lenders. There are very established relationships to inherit and a key part of the role will be utilising these in order to secure new business as well as forging new relationships. As an expert in W&I, the jobholder will be expected to lead presentations to Lawyers to really sell the full benefits of the proposition. Once secured, the Broker will then present the risk to the Insurers and relay back to the client. The successful candidate will also be expected to lead and guide one other individual though the plan is to grow the team in the future.
Due to the requirement to understand the language of solicitors, the ideal candidate will be legally qualified. They will consider experienced Brokers, Underwriters or Solicitors as long as they have a detailed knowledge of Warranty and Indemnity. This is a key role for a growing company so a generous bonus incentive is on offer.
