Job Title: Head of Technical and Quality

Location: Banbury

Salary: Upto £40,000pa

Our client is a Banbury based food manufacturer. Due to expansion within the team, they are looking to appoint an experienced Head of Technical and Quality. Main responsibilities:

  • To challenge, mentor and coach the team and challenge process and practices
  • To ensure clarity of role for team members to include assigning tasks, coaching, following up and feeding back to individuals
  • To set the Technical & Quality strategy and plan and assess progress against this, updating regularly
  • To review and track current performance and identify targeted improvement areas to improve KPI scores
  • To ensure customer requirements are understood and adhered to
  • To organise Customer/3rd party Audits/Visits
  • To audit supplier base (flexibility to undertake national and international travel is necessary)
  • To ensure the management operating systems for the area is accurately managed, maintained and developed to enable responsive fact-based management of the operation
  • To train all teams in technically related activities
  • To see that quality and technical compliance are integral part of their role and the business

Key Skills & Experience:

Qualifications

  • Level 4 Food Hygiene
  • Level 3 HACCP
  • Allergen Training
  • Auditor training
  • Food related degree

Background

  • Strong management background within food manufacturing
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and techniques
  • Proven track record of cost control and quality systems
  • Background in completing customer audits
  • Ability to manage multiple certification (BRC v7, BRC A&B, IFS, TFMS, RSPO, UTZ)
