Head of Shared Services Finance Manager

Our client is a leading organisation within their field with a turnover in excess of £300 Million and a reputation for being one of the foremost operations in the UK.

They are seeking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to lead a team of circa 30 staff and to oversee a Shared Service Centre based in the heart of South East London. There are four direct reports within management and the role requires that an efficient and productive Accounts Payable, Receivable and Credit Control function with first rate service levels is maintained and guaranteed.

Reporting to the Finance Director, and as a key member of the Senior Management team this person will lead and inspire to reach efficiencies and KPIs; identify and lead improvements and efficiencies; the role involves forging strong working partnerships across the business and divisions within the organisation and successfully maintaining solid working relationships with the finance team.

This role requires that Financial Controls remain strong and robust; delivering the smooth day to day running of the business with specific responsibility for all aspects of Financial Accounting and ensure efficient and effective administration processes are in place and adhered to.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong technical ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA/CIPFA Qualified Accountant with first rate financial accounting and proven experience of overseeing a team. You should be a natural leader and enjoy people management and development. Prospective candidates must be adept at financial accounting from preparing a complex VAT return to year end statutory accounts. A generous salary is offered, company car, defined benefit pension scheme and an additional bonus scheme which is consistently paid out at regular intervals throughout the year.

Basic salary is £65,000 to £77,000 + Company Car + Excellent Pension + 22 days holiday rising to 27 + Bonus
