Reporting to the Head of School, your priority is to implement and maintain the strategic development of the school's Special Educational Needs provision and day to day operation with the aim of raising SEN pupil achievement.
Working across both the Primary and Secondary schools, your key responsibilities include:
Put provision in place to ensure that progress of pupils with SEN improves
Ensure the school conducts its statutory responsibilities regarding all students with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHC)
Monitoring of teaching quality and pupil achievement
Understanding of DSEN and awareness of Autistic Spectrum Disorders
Leadership, management and development strategy for ensuring high standards in relation to outcomes and provision developing excellent working relationships with external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be degree educated, with a SENCO qualification or a willingness to complete. You must be a self-starter, offering initiative and drive, who thrives in developing relationships with both the children, staff, parents and external agencies.
