Hill House School is the leading 3-18 co-educational, independent day school in South Yorkshire. With some 700 pupils,outstanding results and an exceptional site, it is currently one of the most exciting schools in the country.
We seek an enthusiastic, well qualified and committed person to lead the school's Science Department from September 2018.
The Science Department is accommodated in its own wing of the school with modern well equipped laboratories. There are currently 6 full time Science Teachers in the school, supported by a full time laboratory technician.
GCSE results are strong; with the majority of pupils studying Separate Sciences. In 2016, GCSE results saw 100% A*-C and 44% A*/A
Interest in A-Level Science is high with a good uptake to all three Science courses. Extra-curricular Science activities are also very popular with a number of pupils enrolled in the CREST Award Silver programme each year, active Biology, Chemistry and Physics Societies and a number of educational visits each year. With these strong foundations, the Science Department is at the forefront of the school.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic teacher with high expectations, good management and leadership skills, and a vision for their subject.
