Head of Science Department Specification
The ideal Head of Science will be an accomplished Science Middle Leader who now feels the time is right to step up to lead their own Science Department. You will be an inspirational Science Teacher who can galvanise and motivate the staff members in your department. You will be a Science Teacher who has the very highest standards of Teaching and Learning and who can share this knowledge and experience to your department and the wider school community.
About the Head of Science Department role
You will have responsibility for developing a programme of regular observations and development for staff to ensure continued development. Part of your role as Head of Science will include analysing and improving upon any areas of the curriculum you deem to be unsuccessful and tracking the effectiveness of these changes. In this post you will be bringing new ideas to this exciting school and contributing to the further development of the creative Science curriculum.
