Head of Relationships - Successful Law Firm

A successful law firm requires a Head of Relationships to lead the Relationship channel. The role holder will need experience, skill and passion to help to create and embed a culture of relationship excellence across the firm.

Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development & Communications, the Head of Relationships will have four reports, the Client Systems Manager, Client Systems Executive, International Relationship Manager and Relationship Executive. The Relationship team works to deliver integrated programmes in support of the firm's intermediaries and key client initiatives, supports the work of the International Committee in overseeing the firm's strategic focus, international relationships with associations and good friend law firms, and ensures that a culture of CRM is championed across the firm. Acting as an ambassador for the team in a firm that is evolving quickly and values the input of the firm's Business Development & Marketing professionals, you will develop, shape and implement the firm's relationship strategy. You will plan and implement relationship programmes that develop the firm's brand and enhance its reputation in key markets and sectors and will be tasked with developing and tracking key relationship activity across the firm. The role holder must ensure that the client voice is heard throughout the firm, shaping the sharing of best practice by crafting and delivering learning and development programmes for lawyers. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the CRM system is fit for purpose, future-proofed and helps to drive revenue and build brand.

The successful candidate will ideally be of graduate calibre and have had relationship marketing experience within the legal sector or a professional services firm. Previous experience of running client listening programmes, working with CRM systems and of managing people and leading a team are prerequisite. The Head of Relationships will also need gravitas, presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders, combined with a positive, proactive attitude and the ability to prioritise workloads and to anticipate and meet deadlines.
