Head of Public Fundraising
NL- Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Head of Public Fundraising for a fantastic charity in order to maximise income generated by mass engagement fundraising (Individual Giving and Community Fundraising), through deeper and longer-lasting supporter relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:
As part of the Senior Marketing & Income Generation Team (Director plus Heads of) contribute to improvements in charity's ability to engage new supporters, deepen relationships and raise increased and sustainable income - with a particular focus on supporter experience and donor care.
Provide high-quality line-management and support to direct reports, championing charity's values and in line with our management principles.
Devise credible and costed growth strategies for Individual Giving (includes legacy and in memoriam) and Community Fundraising, the latter by supporting the Community Fundraising Manager, who is responsible for the operational plan in this area
Support the Individual Giving Officer and in collaboration with the Head of Marketing & Communications, develop campaigns and programmes which recruit new supporters, aid retention and include uplift activities.
Develop data management systems and processes in relation to fundraising and marketing to the benefit of the whole Marketing and Income Generation directorate. Within this, oversee the management of the supporter CRM database, currently Raisers' Edge
Provide expertise and guidance on all matters relating to Gift Aid and liaise with the Finance team to ensure Gift Aid declarations are accurately made and stored
Build strong internal networks with peers both inside and outside of Marketing and Income Generation to ensure that all work by your team is collaborative and effective in supporting needs and expectations
In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:
Success in achieving ambitious income targets within Individual Giving programmes, at Manager level or higher. A proven track record of successfully growing the supporter base, total income and improved returns on investment.
Proven ability to develop and monitor the implementation of fundraising strategies, budgets and operational plans.
The ability to analyse fundraising and marketing data, create hypotheses and adapt strategy and practice to improve both income and supporter experience.
The ability to line manage effectively; building, managing and operating in a highly cohesive, high performing team based on the principles of trust, mutual respect and empowerment.
Ability to work across teams and departments in a collaborative manner and to proactively engage colleagues on projects and initiatives.
Excellent self-management and ability to prioritise a high workload and multiple complex issues and tasks in a changing environment with tight deadlines.
A sound knowledge and understanding of individual giving and legacy fundraising including the development of successful donor journeys.
A high level of competence in using general office IT, including Microsoft Office software. Highly competent managing the use of fundraising databases, including the setting of protocols, analysis of data and maintaining of data integrity.
Knowledge of fundraising regulatory environment including data protection, Gift Aid and fundraising codes of practice and regulation.
