Our client employs c.50 local people in a variety of technical, financial and administrative roles. Based at their new state-of-the-art offices which provide a great base for staff to enjoy a modern way of working.
They are currently seeking a Head of Property to join their Senior Management Team. The main purpose of this role is to provide strategic asset management services and manage the Association’s property portfolio. You’ll lead and be responsible for the delivery of an effective property maintenance and improvement service across all tenures, ensuring that all tasks are carried out in accordance with management contracts and statutory and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will hold a suitable building surveying / maintenance qualification or a minimum of 5 years relative experience, membership of RICS, CIOB or similar is an essential requirement and ideally NEBOSH or IOSH qualified. You’ll have extensive knowledge of the building maintenance and construction industries and you’ll be able to demonstrate sound technical knowledge of health and safety regulations, governance and compliance. It is essential that you have experience of contract management and directly monitoring contractors with a strong focus around productivity, quality, health and safety, compliance and cost effectiveness. You’ll have experience of managing programmes of stock condition surveys and surveys for gas, electrical, asbestos etc and you’ll be qualified and experienced in undertaking formal building surveys and stock condition surveys. Strong financial and budgetary management skills along with experience of working in the social housing sector would be preferred.
