Agenda for Change Band 8C; £57,232 to £70,559 per annum pro rata
Part time; 0.5 whole time equivalent, 18.75 hours per week
Secondment/fixed term opportunity until 31 March 2019

What You’ll Do
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic leader, to join our senior clinical education team.

The post holder will lead on a portfolio of work, primarily providing strategic education leadership and future-focused direction for acute care, which will include clinical skills and theatre workforce, and agreed elements of post registration education.

The post holder will provide professional leadership to key Directorate development activities aligned to national priorities, and the delivery of strategic outcomes linked to key policy drivers, including: A National Clinical Strategy for Scotland (Scottish Government 2016) and Excellence in Care (Scottish Government 2015).

What You’ll Bring
Educated to Masters degree or evidence of equivalent learning, the post holder will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have substantial experience across nursing and midwifery/allied health professions education.

Excellent communication, negotiation, organisational, management and leadership skills are essential, along with a good understanding of practice, education and professional structures and processes, including NMC or HCPC regulation and standards.

Core to the post(s) is the ability to analyse information, understand complex arguments, make judgements and reconcile competing demands.
