UCLH NHS Foundation Trust are looking to appoint a Head of Portfolio Management to their Staff Bank.
This role is being offered as a Band 9 ongoing assignment.
The post holder will promote understanding of the Strategic objectives and supporting constituent programmes throughout UCLH and relevant external organisations. The Head of Portfolio Management Office will manage budget and resources for Corporate Portfolio Management Office and help other Divisions and Transformation Steering Groups to establish and run their Programme Management Offices.
The Trust’s Transformation strategy was approved by the Board in April 2015 and represents a £30m+ Investment Programme over 5 years; covering scoping, strategic planning and implementation of key programmes in governance, infrastructure, technology and improved business process management. The post holder is responsible for the management of the Portfolio Management Office which coordinates and aligns the programmes to deliver the Trust’s Strategic Transformation objectives.
The annual budget for portfolio investments is £70m-£170m. The post holder will assist in prioritising, allocating and managing the annually variable elements of this budget (circa £20m). This will include line management of the Corporate Portfolio Management Team.
The post holder will work in close collaboration with the following leaders to ensure the transformation objectives are coherent and coordinated:
- Director of Capital, Estates and Facilities
- Medical Directors
- Director and Deputy Directors of Finance
- Director of Innovation
- Director of Strategy
- Other Corporate Directors
The Corporate Portfolio Management Office reports through the Director of Capital, Estates and Facilities and is responsible for delivering the work programmes under the remit of Senior Director Team, Capital Investment Board and Digital Services Delivery Board.
