An initial 6 month contract based in Milton Keynes paying £410 per day out of scope of IR35
Your new role
In your new role as Head of Planning Office you'll work with senior managers and business leaders to understand, monitor, gather and analyse departmental plans, pipeline and opportunity information, and implementation timetables. You'll develop effective working relationships with customers and stakeholders in the business whilst providing leadership to a team dedicated to efficient planning, analysing and aggregating project baselines, identifying interdependencies, scheduling constraints, critical milestones and delivery risks.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will bring expert level project management and analytical skills to the role and will use your influencing skills across the business to ensure consistency of planning frameworks and ongoing optimisation of plans. You'll have proven capability in managing the requirements, planning and deployment of resource across portfolios, programmes and projects in a large, matrix-managed organisation. You'll possess strong conceptual and quantitative analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues across diverse portfolios as well as strong stakeholder skills with the willingness and ability to maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of senior stakeholders. Familiarity with enterprise project portfolio management software tools (preferably MS Projects Online) and other reporting tools to maintain and query disparate strands of portfolio and programme planning is also required.
Due to the nature of this work government security clearance if not already held will need to be obtained. The minimum clearance required for this role is SC.

In return you'll be offered an initial 6 month contract with the possibility to extend, paying £410 per day out of scope of IR35 along with flexible core working hours and the potential to obtain valid security clearance if not already held.
