You will be part of the senior management team within the Directorate of Transformation and Sustainability and your main role will be to:
- lead co-ordinate and facilitate the full range of planning and performance activities to support organisational transformational change and drive improvement in the ways in which health services are managed and delivered across Ayrshire and Arran;
- provide performance and planning expertise and lead on the implementation and expansion of the NHS Ayrshire and Arran Planning and Performance approach;
- take a lead role in working with each Integration Authority to input to and agree shared planning and performance arrangements; and
- line manage and develop staff within the Planning and Performance function undertaking the associated management processes to support this.
Educated to Masters degree level or equivalent you will have extensive experience of working at a strategic level within the NHS other public sector or relevant organisations within a relevant role associated with strategic service planning and development and have the ability to demonstrate and communicate a practical and theoretical understanding of performance management and planning tools and techniques. You will have detailed knowledge and understanding of the statutory framework and guidance for the NHS and the Integration of Health and Social Care including practical application of these together with the policy and planning framework nationally regionally and locally.
Hours: 37.5 per week over 5 days
