Your new school
This is a large, high-tech, non-selective, mainstream school built upon the core values of respect, teamwork and high aspirations. They work with a tremendous community of parents and students right in the heart of the city. Their focus is always on individual student progress and personal development. They strive to create confident, intelligent and skillful young people who will flourish at university or in the contemporary workplace.

Their academic and aspirational culture stems from their relentless drive to deliver exceptional student outcomes. They believe educational excellence is the key to social mobility, a fairer society and better lives for their students. For this reason, they insist on the highest of standards in everything that they do. Student voice opportunities and leadership roles are key ways in which their young people shape and strengthen the school and the local community. They ask their students to be mature, responsible and selfless wherever possible. They are very keen for their students to have enriching opportunities and experiences beyond the classroom. Every member of their Year Seven team has a week-long residential at a PGL Centre in Shropshire, participating in outdoor and adventure activities. In Years Eight and Nine, students visit museums and various sites of cultural and historic importance. In Year Ten, all of their students experience a week at a university and receive advice and guidance about careers and higher education. This school truly believe that their students deserve the best, so they appoint only the most talented and passionate teachers and support staff. These people understand that it is a huge privilege to work with the incredible children of Birmingham. They know that great teachers inspire the next generation, transform lives and brighten futures.
