The Role
We are looking to appoint a progressive, innovative and results driven Head of Operations.  This role will play a crucial role in our Senior Leadership Team as we strive to achieve our ambitious 5-year strategic growth plan. 

Reporting into the General Manager, you will take ownership for providing effective strategic and tactical direction to create, implement and embed a best in class operations strategy to underpin future business growth.    Working closely with your teams you will understand existing complex assembly manufacturing processes and systems to develop effective operating procedures to maximise production performance for a design led project manufacturing business.  Collaborating closely with Design and Supply Chain, you will contribute to improvement in design for manufacture and design for lean throughout the business.  You will look to develop and embed an effective and positive continuous improvement culture throughout the business, whilst inspiring your teams to embrace opportunities and giving confidence to customers in delivery. 

With well-developed communication skills you will operate strategic and tactically as a key part of the Senior Leadership Team for the site, but also be able to lead, motivate and inspire at all levels throughout the plant to continue to build improvement and engagement effectively.  You will focus on managing, leading, mentoring, coaching, and developing your large teams across production, maintenance, production planning and production engineering to reach their full potential whilst optimising production performance and driving operations excellence. 

About you
As a highly experienced Head of Operations, you will have extensive experience in maximising performance in a complex assembly-based manufacturing business.  You will have a deep understanding of world class manufacturing systems, but also have a demonstrable track record in supporting manufacturing plants on their journey.  You will also have a proven track record in the development and implementation of a continuous improvement strategy and plan, but also the tangible evidence of embedding a positive improvement oriented culture to support your teams to reach their full potential. 

Your previous experience as part of a site Senior Management Team will enable you to have a broader appreciation of the business wide strategic objectives, whilst developing an effective production strategy and plan to maximise operational excellence.  Your ability to challenge, influence and contribute as part of the Senior Management team, whilst giving confidence to our OEM customers and engaging and inspiring at all levels within the plant will enable you to play a key part our ambitious five year strategic growth plan.
