Head of New Business - Media Agency
This is an opportunity to join one of the most entrepreneurial and dynamic UK media agencies at a time of phenomenal growth. Part of an independent network that has a global reach this agency are one of London’s leading lights.
As Head of New Business you will be a big part in that growth. Our client has an unrivalled reputation at winning and retaining challenger brands in the performance media space. They have been established for nearly twenty years however now they are entering a very different chapter in their history and growth is their absolute priority.
The role will be all about new business. Yes it’s important to put in place robust processes and the right strategy and that would absolutely be your role - but it’s also about bringing new clients to the agency.
To that end you will need to tenacious, challenging, focussed and commercial. You will be working alongside an operating board which includes the Owner and MD so you will need to be comfortable dealing with senior people who really know what they’re talking about.
This is a growing agency and as such it is set up very different to a network. New Business will not be presented to you. Some will, but the rest you will have to generate and put the agency in a position to pitch and ultimately win the accounts.
It’s less about your background, albeit some experience in performance media would be an advantage, it’s about your attitude and your aptitude.
It’s a big challenge, but for the right person it will be extremely rewarding.
