Head of Department - Mathematics
Principal Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher or existing Head of Department for an exciting opportunity to start in January at an ambitious client school based in Bradford. This role is ideal for teachers who strive to get the best out of their students and are passionate about pastoral care.
The role will commence in January, with the school keen to speak to interested applicants ASAP.
Hours of work: Full-Time
Responsible to: Deputy Head
Responsible for: The delivery of the Mathematics programme for KS3, 4, 5
Ofsted placed the school in Special Measures, however they have made significant progress since the last inspection
Supportive environment with an effective new behaviour policy in place
To raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the whole Subject area and to effectively monitor and support student progress.
To be accountable for student progress and development within the Subject area.
To be accountable for leading, managing and developing the Subject area.
To develop and enhance the teaching practice of others.
To effectively manage and deploy teaching, support staff, financial and physical resources within the Subject area.
To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying Mathematics and numeracy, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies determined by the Governing Body and Head teacher of the school.

Leadership and Management of others
Leadership and Management of Teaching & Learning
Leadership and Management of teaching support staff and teachers who support SEN & EAL
Leadership and Management of Students’ Attainment and Progress
Work with the Deputy Head and Assistant Head Teacher (D&C) to ensure that teachers use assessment for learning effectively
