About the role…

We have an amazing opportunity for someone to join phs to lead our Marketing function.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to build on the foundations of a recently created team to create the Marketing agenda that will support the achievement of sustainable and profitable revenue growth.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer you will be part of the Commercial Leadership team, working with them to develop and deliver the Commercial strategy for the business.

As well as bringing big picture thinking to the role you also need to be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in to make things happen.

It’s about being creative - looking for new and different solutions to how we do things round here, seeing possibilities not problems. You need to be prepared and willing to challenge the status quo and see things through to completion.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own, manage and develop the phs brands look and feel across all channels (Traditional and Digital).

  • Lead the creation and delivery of the Marketing plan that supports the delivery of sustainable and profitable revenue growth for all channels.

  • Lead the creation and delivery of the phs brand strategy to ensure the phs brand is strengthened and protected and we maintain our market leading position. Ensure the brand is accurately represented in all marketing materials.

  • Lead and deliver the phs Group digital strategy to drive online sales growth.

  • Lead, inspire, develop the performance and potential of the Marketing team, setting clear objectives, allocating work appropriately, developing effective ways of working and ensuring that individuals and the team operate effectively.

  • Lead the creation and implementation of an effective promotional campaign calendar for our products and services that spans our channels and customer segmentation.

  • Direct and manage the creation and implementation of the forecasting and territory planning support for all channels to market including sales, telesales and online.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the industry, its products and services, opportunities and challenges, and current and potential competitors. Use that insight to identify opportunities and to tailor the Marketing plan and approach accordingly to maintain phs’ market leading position.

  • Prepare and deliver opportunity/market reports for monthly trading reviews.

  • Provide marketing support to support the launch of new products and services which will accelerate growth.

  • Act as the custodian of the phs brand, create a plan that ensures the phs brand is bought to life throughout our Customer journey and total customer life-cycle.

  • Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to identify and create new opportunities to maximise growth and profit opportunity for phs.

  • Own the reporting and analytical insight relating to the performance of the Marketing department from a KPI activity / utilisation, budget tracking and ROI perspective.

  • Ensure all marketing collateral enhances and reinforces our brand image.

  • Work in partnership with the communications team to produce brand guidelines and tone of voice to ensure our brand is represented effectively externally and internally to maximise employee engagement.

You need to be an outstanding Marketing professional. You will have the experience and personal impact to be immediately recognised as a commercial, solutions-focussed, results-driven expert in Marketing.

  • You are a true Marketing expert.

  • You have a proven track record in digital and marketing activity that’s delivered consistent sales growth.

  • You can think strategically, and have created clear marketing strategies supported by robust action orientated plans that deliver results.

  • A proven ability in leading a marketing and digital function in a multi-country business.

  • Experience in a marketing and digital role in a B2B or B2C environment, ideally obtained in the business services sector.

  • You’ve operated at a senior level within a marketing environment, with regular interaction at E
