Head of Loss Prevention- £80,000 pa based on experience + company car

This is a national role, suitable candidates must be within reasonable distance to our Support Centre based in Brentwood Essex

McColl’s Retail Group are the second largest multiple convenience operator in the UK, comprising of approximately 1600 stores including over 1,200 convenience stores, over 580 post offices and 20 Subway units offering freshly made products daily .

As part of our ongoing strategy we are currently looking to recruit a Head of Loss Prevention.

This is a key position within the company and will report directly to the Operations Director.

The Head of Loss Prevention will be required to take full responsibility for developing and executing the loss prevention strategy for the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Devising and implementing a company wide security risk strategy

  • Maintaining comprehensive awareness of legislation and best practice

  • Identify and implement new initiatives to improve both colleague and asset security

  • Maintain a professional network within the field, including enforcement agencies and like businesses

  • Accountability for forecasting and reducing company wide losses in line with agreed budgets and targets

  • Leading the Loss Prevention team, including regular structural review

  • Communicating with multiple stakeholders including regular reports to the Board of Directors

Required experience

  • Extensive experience in the loss prevention field at a strategic level

  • Programme and Project Management experience

  • Excellent communication skills, from the board room to the sales floor

  • Commercially strong with a proven track record of reducing losses

  • A hands - on approach and a pragmatic leadership style of "getting things done"

    Ex- Senior police force applications would be welcomed
