It started with a hammock. Made around a kitchen table, our first-ever product was stitched with careful hands, a trusty sewing machine and a large dose of optimism. 21 years on, that optimism is stronger than ever. The hammock has evolved into hand-picked collections of furniture, accessories and beautifully designed kitchens, and a few pairs of hands have become hundreds, but the care, the commitment, the love and even that kitchen table very much remains.
We’re a humble but ambitious bunch and it’s this drive to achieve great things that is supported so well by our agile and proactive legal team. Pivotal to our company growth, they support the business in all legal and company secretarial matters.
We’d like to offer an exhilarating challenge to an experienced in-house Solicitor to head up our small legal team. You’ll provide support, advice and guidance to all levels of the business, handling a broad range of commercial, retail and manufacturing issues affecting the business, paying close attention to our property transactions and supporting our growing property portfolio.
Working in beautiful interior designed offices, part-time and ideally over two days a week, you will:
- Provide in-house services for all our property transactions and maintain communication both internally and externally
- Advise the business on all matters of legal challenge
- Support the team with drafting and reviewing contracts for all areas of the business
- Proactively upgrade our terms of trade, commercial contracts and all other legal documentation in response to the evolution of our business
With significant experience at a similar level, we’re looking for someone with a positive 'can do’ attitude. You’ll be pragmatic and remain calm under pressure as you’ll juggle several business matters at any time. Most importantly you’ll be a strong, experienced Solicitor (in the region of 8 years PQE or more) who has gained in-house experience within a variety of challenging situations, across a broad range to include commercial contracts and property law. You’ll be confident in initiating and leading projects. If you’ve got experience of IP and employment law too then all the better.
In return for your organised, discreet and 'sleeves rolled up’ approach, we offer a superb package and a wonderful working environment. So, if you’d like to be part of our Neptune family, please send your up to date CV and covering letter detailing your current salary to us.
We’re fortunate to receive hundreds and hundreds of applications every week. You’ll never receive an automated response from us - it’s something that we find too impersonal - and while we try to respond to every email, the sheer volume sometimes makes that difficult. So, if you don’t hear from us within 14 days, this means that on this occasion, your application hasn’t been successful but thank you for your interest in us.
