Head of Institutional Funding

Randstad have proudly partnered with Muslim Aid to offer a unique opportunity for a forward thinking, ambitious, relationship focused Head of Institutional Funding to join on a permanent basis. This role will be integral in supporting their ambitious growth plans; developing and strengthening the existing fundraising capacity in key countries, and later working to build relationships and secure funding where presence is less.

Main responsibilities will include;

· Implementing a programme funding strategy to optimise ability to secure leverage and maximise restricted and unrestricted funds

· Developing and implement donor engagement strategies for institutional donors such as EU/ECHO, DFID, UN leveraging off existing relationships

· Developing new strategic partnerships with institutional donors, advancing shared objectives and preposition organisation and company

· Developing and implement institutional funding policies and procedures

· Providing support to on-going design and implementation of counties' funding strategy

· Identifying and prioritise funding opportunities

· Facilitating project planning and proposal development workshops in UK and Overseas, using PCM tools

· Working with the MEAL specialist to ensure monitoring, evaluations, accountability and learning are built into proposals

· Maintaining and developing positive donor relations and actively engage in all relevant open meetings and working groups

· Line management responsibility of Institutional Fundraising Coordinator and Foundations and Trust Officer

· Leading and managing the Institutional Funding team including 1-to-1s and performance reviews

· Nurturing talent through coaching, mentoring and other development activities

· Complying with all policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements

The ideal candidate will be have significant experience in securing, managing and monitoring large and complex grants from multilateral and bilateral agencies. You will have experience in and existing relationships with key donors such as EU/ECHO/DFID and others. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to network and influence others.

In return, you will receive and excellent benefits package, including 25 days holidays plus bank holidays plus four extra privilege days, flexitime and a good pension scheme. The role will offer approximately 30% travel to the country offices which include Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Cambodia.
