We have long term placement opportunities available for a Head of ICT Operations available at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
In this senior role you will be providing operational management, high level technical leadership, and design capability to technical teams comprising infrastructure, networks, communications, and data centres.
You will be responsible for ensuring that Trust ICT infrastructure services are fit for purpose, and will work with the Chief Technology Officer and specialist project management staff on planning service improvements for the long term, within the overall context of the Trust’s ICT Strategy. We’ll expect you to maintain a high profile within the organisation, engaging with senior Divisional and non-clinical staff about Trust infrastructure and ICT services, understanding the user experience and using this knowledge to inform on-going improvements to services
Specialist knowledge of ICT infrastructure technologies including networks, data centres, security systems, gained from significant operational management experience in large complex organisations. Educated to post-graduate level in a technical or computer science related subject or equivalent, or substantial level of equivalent work experience. You’ll need significant experience of solution/enterprise architecture within large scale projects and programmes within an organisation that uses a structured design methodology.

Information Technology is integral to the Trust, and this is an exciting time as we undergo a major transformation of our Information Technology platforms and services to support the growing Digital requirements of the Trust, with major programmes underway to upgrade and transform our infrastructure with particular focus on our Voice & Data Networks, Telephony, Data Centres and Devices (with our move to Windows 10).pro
Within our operational ICT services we are also seeking experienced professionals to provide effective management of our core technology functions, while we transform our infrastructure for the benefit of our patients, staff, and our dedicated Informatics team.
