We now have a workforce of over 480 employees and a turnover of £13m. During the consolidation we will continue to deliver the quality services that so many depend upon without disruption.
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of HR will be responsible for the people management strategy and delivery. Working with the Senior Management team to build the Aspens team and enabling it to achieve its strategic goals you will be the HR voice at the top table of this organisation. You will have good working knowledge of employment law, reward and talent-management to support the employment of all staff from recruitment and appointment to engagement and communication. Advising on all aspects of organisational design and working to ensure that the organisation is structured appropriately, the successful individual will continue to ensure that Aspens is great place to work for all of our employees.
Given the size of the team, you will often be involved in operational matters as well as strategic issues and so an individual who has the ability to switch from a strategic to an operational mind set is essential.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the not-for-profit and preferably care sector. Educated to degree level or equivalent and preferably a full member of CIPD you will work within budget approved by the Trustees to deliver the HR strategy, ensuring value for money, identifying and mitigating risks and promoting equality and diversity in all activities.
