So what does the role as General Manager involve?
You will have full accountability for the P&L in your area, providing support and guidance to your managers to maximise the profit and opportunities for the business.
Develop and maintain all routines alongside Shop Manager appertaining to the shop and warehouse operations. Delivering exceptional customer service, product availability and shop-keeping standards
Managing the performance of your team to deliver the highest brand standards and customer service in a fast paced environment, delivering operational excellence in everything you do both externally and internally.
Ensuring that compliance procedures are followed by Developing and maintain all appropriate Risk Assessments and Safety Skills training, and ensure full farm shop/team adherence.
Supporting the development of e-commerce ranges, and the provision of content for the website. Work alongside the Shop Manager and the Buying and Development Manager to develop the proposition into a profitable business unit
You will be a passionate people manager, analytical in their approach and calm under pressure.
Working closely with key stakeholders in the business to implement new and creative solutions to drive performance.
What qualities will you need to be successful?
Must have proven experience within food retail at Manager level or above
Experience of product sourcing and dealing with local suppliers
Track record of improving productivity whilst not compromising on customer service
You will have managed the P&L of an area and driven a team to success.
