Basedin one of the UK’s most stunning locations by the sea, our client is one of the South-West’s most iconic and dynamic hotels and spas.
They are currently building the right senior management team for the long term, a team you will you lead and develop; and the recruitment of absolutely outstanding individuals is critical to their success.
32 new bedrooms have just been added, bringing the total to 88. The Health Club has been rebuilt and is on target to achieve 2,000 members. The brand new destination spa is under construction with a new resort entrance and arrival area. The restaurant, bar and forthcoming spa bistro are all set for re-launch with a new top notch Executive Chef in place. In due course, the resort will grow further with apartments and residences overlooking the beach.
The Role of Head of Food & Beverage
This is an exciting and challenging role, whereby you will be responsible for the development and delivery of all their food and beverage business across the resort. You will effectively be General Manager of all Food and Beverage operations and build a very high performing team, taking full ownership for the F & B business. You will own and be accountable for the F & B profit and loss account. To such ends you will grow revenue through innovation; create great, consistent products; a service culture which consistently wows our customers; train strong selling skills throughout the team.
You will also deputise for the General Manager and be able to run the whole resort on an interim basis. In June you will re-launch a 140-seater restaurant, destination bar and take it to the next level! You will also launch a fresh new spa bistro, new meeting, wedding and event facilities. Your leadership, entrepreneurial drive and customer focus will be critical. Your passion for exciting, creative, high quality F & B goes without saying.
Leading by example, you’ll recruit, motivate and inspire a team of Managers and staff. You will enjoy developing their skills and have a track record of bringing out the best in people and turning a great idea into reality.
You: To be considered you must have:
- A first class track record in hotels/ hospitality/ restaurants
- Around five years’ experience in a senior management position
- Have proven success as a Food & Beverage / Operations/ Hotel Manager / Restaurant GM; of a substantial operation and shown progression thereafter
- A strong commercial and financial understanding
- Demonstrable, exceptional leadership skills
- A real passion for food and beverage
- Dedication to customer delight and incredible attention to detail
- A good sense of humour, charismatic, stylish, fun, tenacious, energy & drive
