About The Head of Financial Planning & Reporting Role
Salary = Circa £55k
This dynamic, ambitious yet complex organisation is at an exciting stage of their vision and corporate strategy to become London's top modern University by 2020. This role is a critical position within Finance and the University's Senior Management team to deliver on that vision. Reporting to a Director of Planning, Information & Reporting who has been instrumental in building a strong, talented and proficient finance function, responsibilities will include;
*Leadership and management of 5 qualified Finance Business Partners (BSM's) for Schools & Research.
*Leading on the Strategy, business and financial planning for the Schools & Research centres.
*Provision of management information including external Research returns, management accounts and corporate performance reporting for the Schools & Research centres.
*Delivering an effective working relationship between Financial Planning & Reporting Business Support Managers (BSM's) and Deans of Schools
*BSM to the School of Business with an £18 million turnover
Head of Financial Planning & Reporting - About The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with strong staff management skills gained within a senior finance role. This should preferably have been within a medium to large sized organisation in a business facing finance role that encompasses management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and planning. You should also have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and be comfortable dealing with senior non-finance colleagues.
